CHARLES MICHEL DE LEÓN
Charles Michel De León holds a degree in Communication Sciences (UDELAR) and is dedicated to the development and application of communicology, with a particular focus on the areas of relearning, well-being, and health promotion.
His work is centered on understanding and exploring how we process the world we live in through communication, and how we understand the contexts and situations we are part of.
He has collaborated with the Hospital de Clínicas in the Occupational Health department, and he is currently leading INTEGRADO, where he develops his work.
His contribution is characterized by integrating the theory and practice of communicology to promote well-being at individual, collective, and institutional levels.
Mission: To help people have tools to feel good.
Vision: To be the reference service that develops communicology and applies it to well-being through relearning and health promotion.
Values: Passion for well-being and the success of individuals and organizations; empathy, respect for each person’s process timing; professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
He has contributed to activities in the Occupational Health Department of the Hospital de Clínicas (Communication and Education in Occupational Health Promoters and Postgraduate in Occupational Health). Communicology for well-being and health promotion.

The central task of a communicologist is to make the multiple processes surrounding us visible and understandable. It involves supporting and enhancing both individual and collective subjects in facing situations by providing tools to contribute to the understanding of what is happening and developing life skills.

Communicologist - A Profession with Many Areas
When talking about communication, most people associate it with technology, radio, TV, and film, but the field is much broader. Communicology studies communication in its various contexts, media, techniques, and systems.
Our profession allows us to provide tools for understanding an entire context of interactions and the development of elements within it, enhancing individuals' ability to develop tools to comprehend their communicational environment and contribute to their well-being by preventing emotional states that affect not only personal life but also the professional world.
The central task of a communicologist is to make the multiple processes surrounding us visible and understandable, and to identify the pathways where interpretations and emotions are supported. From the understanding of the system, we can act upon these processes, in my case, for the sake of our well-being.
